JF & SON started in 2007 as a textile design consultancy. In 2009, the company opened its first retail location on the lower east side of Manhattan, where they sold various pieces produced in their own studios abroad and in New York. The storefront allowed for a physical space in which ideas were exchanged and artist collaborations exhibited. In 2012, JF & Son closed their storefront making a shift towards collections and distribution. The company continues to explore the dynamics of design through artist collaborations and bi-annual womenswear and menswear collections. The collection can be found online and at select retail locations.
JF & Son is currently participating in a design residency at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York.
